Rescripted: Editorial Standards & Policy
Effective Date: April 13, 2026
Last Updated: April 13, 2026
Rescripted exists because women deserve better health information — accurate, nuanced, and created with them in mind. These editorial standards describe exactly how we create that content and the commitments we make to you.
1. Our Editorial Mission
Rescripted is a women's health media and data company. Our editorial mission is to provide evidence-informed, inclusive, and compassionate health content that helps women navigate every stage of their health journey — from periods and fertility to pregnancy, menopause, and beyond.
We believe that accurate health information is a form of healthcare access. Our editorial work is guided by five core principles:
Accuracy. Every factual claim is sourced, vetted, and consistent with current medical evidence.
Clarity. We write for real people, not clinicians. We translate complex medical information into language that is clear, jargon-free, and actionable.
Inclusivity. Women's health is not one-size-fits-all. We strive to reflect the diversity of our audience across age, race, ethnicity, body type, and reproductive experience.
Transparency. We disclose our sources, our experts, our commercial relationships, and our use of AI.
Independence. Our editorial content is not for sale. Commercial relationships do not influence our coverage decisions.
2. How Our Content Is Created
2.1 Content Types
Original articles and guides. Long-form health content written or edited by staff writers or qualified health journalists. All original articles are reviewed for medical accuracy before publication.
Creator content. First-person stories and experiences contributed by our creator network. Creator content represents individual experiences and is labeled accordingly.
Expert-authored content. Content written directly by credentialed healthcare providers or researchers. Expert authors are identified by name and credential.
Sponsored content. Content created in partnership with brand or pharmaceutical sponsors. All sponsored content is clearly labeled. See Section 6 for our standards on sponsored content.
Clara AI tool outputs. Responses generated by our AI tool, Clara. Clara outputs are not editorial content and are not reviewed by human editors before delivery. See Section 5 for full disclosure.
2.2 Our Editorial Team
Our content is created and overseen by staff writers, a network of vetted health creators, and medical reviewers. Each piece of published editorial content has an identified author. Where content has been reviewed by a medical professional, the reviewer is credited by name and credential. We do not publish anonymous editorial content.
2.3 Content Development Process
For original articles and guides, our standard editorial process includes:
-
Topic selection based on audience need, clinical relevance, and evidence availability
-
Research and drafting by a qualified writer, drawing on peer-reviewed sources and clinical guidelines
-
Editorial review for accuracy, clarity, and inclusivity
-
Medical review by a credentialed healthcare provider (for clinical health content)
-
Publication with full author and reviewer attribution
-
Periodic review to ensure content remains current
3. Expert Review Process
3.1 Who Reviews Our Content
Clinical health content on Rescripted is reviewed by credentialed healthcare providers before publication. Reviewers may include OB-GYNs, reproductive endocrinologists, certified nurse-midwives, nurse practitioners, mental health professionals, registered dietitians, and other licensed specialists. All medical reviewers are identified on the content they review by full name and primary credential.
3.2 What Medical Review Covers
Our medical reviewers assess content for:
-
Factual accuracy and consistency with current clinical evidence and guidelines
-
Appropriate framing of risk, uncertainty, and individual variation
-
Absence of overstated or misleading claims
-
Appropriate referral to professional medical advice where necessary
3.3 Our Expert Network
Rescripted maintains a network of medical advisors and contributing experts who have agreed to our editorial standards. They are not compensated to endorse specific products or treatments. Expert profiles, including credentials and affiliations, are published on our website.
3.4 Content Not Reviewed by Medical Professionals
Not all content on Rescripted undergoes formal medical review. This includes first-person creator stories, news and opinion pieces that do not make specific clinical claims, general wellness lifestyle content, and Clara AI tool responses. Content that has not been medically reviewed will not carry a medical reviewer credit.
4. Sourcing Standards
4.1 Our Source Hierarchy
We prioritize the highest-quality evidence available. Our preferred sources, in order of preference, are:
- Peer-reviewed research published in reputable medical and scientific journals
-
Clinical guidelines from recognized bodies (e.g., ACOG, ASRM, NAMS, USPSTF, CDC, NIH)
-
Statements from major medical associations
-
Expert interviews with credentialed healthcare providers
-
Reputable health organizations and government health agencies (e.g., Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic)
4.2 What We Avoid
We do not use as primary sources for clinical health claims: anecdotal reports, press releases without independent corroboration, non-peer-reviewed preprints without caveats, sources with a known commercial interest in the claims being made, or Wikipedia as a standalone source for medical information.
4.3 Content Currency
We aim to review evergreen health content at least annually or when significant new evidence or clinical guidance is published. If you notice outdated information in any of our content, please report it to hello@rescripted.com.
5. AI-Assisted Content Disclosure
5.1 Clara
Clara is Rescripted's AI-powered search and chat tool. Clara generates responses using content from our Services and select third-party sources. Clara's outputs are generated in real time, are not reviewed by human editors or medical professionals before delivery, and are not a substitute for professional medical advice.
Clara's responses are not editorial content. They are AI-generated outputs. Always verify health information from Clara with a qualified healthcare provider.
5.2 AI in Editorial Content Production
Where AI tools have contributed substantively to the drafting of an article, that article will carry a disclosure label, such as: "This article was drafted with AI assistance and reviewed and edited by [Author Name] and medically reviewed by [Reviewer Name]." AI-assisted content is held to the same sourcing, accuracy, and review standards as all other editorial content.
5.3 What AI Does Not Do at Rescripted
We do not use AI to replace human medical review of clinical health content, fabricate expert quotes or attribute statements to real individuals, generate content designed to obscure its AI origin, or make individualized medical recommendations to readers.
6. Editorial Independence and Commercial Relationships
6.1 The Firewall Between Editorial and Commercial
Rescripted maintains a strict separation between our editorial team and our commercial partnerships. Our brand partners, advertisers, and sponsors do not have editorial approval rights over non-sponsored content and cannot request that we cover or avoid covering specific topics in our independent editorial content.
6.2 Sponsored Content
All sponsored content is clearly labeled with a disclosure such as "Sponsored," "Presented by [Brand]," or "Paid Partnership." Sponsored content is subject to our factual accuracy standards. It does not carry a Rescripted editorial endorsement unless explicitly stated.
6.3 Expert Compensation
Medical experts and contributors who review or author content for Rescripted may receive compensation for their time and expertise — not for endorsing specific products, brands, or viewpoints.
7. Corrections Policy
7.1 Our Commitment to Accuracy
When we make an error, we correct it promptly and transparently. We do not silently edit content after publication without disclosure.
7.2 Types of Corrections
Minor corrections. Typographical errors or small factual inaccuracies will be corrected and noted with a brief correction notice on the article.
Substantive corrections. Material errors that affect the meaning or medical accuracy of content will be corrected and prominently labeled.
Retractions. In rare cases where content is so significantly flawed that correction is insufficient, we will retract the content and publish an explanation.
7.3 How to Report an Error
Contact us at hello@rescripted.com with the URL of the content in question, a description of the specific error, and if possible, a link to a source that contradicts our content. We review all correction requests and aim to respond within five (5) business days.

Rescripted: Advertising & Sponsorship Disclosure
Effective Date: April 13, 2026
Last Updated: April 13, 2026
Rescripted is supported in part by advertising, sponsored content, and affiliate partnerships. This page explains exactly how those relationships work — and what they never affect.
1. Overview and FTC Compliance
Rescripted generates revenue through advertising, sponsored content, pharmaceutical partnerships, and affiliate marketing programs. In accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 C.F.R. Part 255) and its guidance on native advertising, we are committed to clear and conspicuous disclosure of all material connections between Rescripted and third parties that may influence our content.
Our core commitment: commercial relationships do not determine, shape, or suppress our independent editorial coverage. We maintain a strict firewall between our business development team and our editorial team, as described in our Editorial Standards policy.
2. Types of Commercial Relationships
2.1 Display Advertising
Rescripted displays advertising on our website. Advertisements are visually separated from editorial content and labeled "Advertisement," "Ad," or "Sponsored" where required. Advertisers who purchase display placements have no influence over adjacent editorial content.
2.2 Sponsored Content
Rescripted creates and publishes sponsored content in partnership with health brands, consumer brands, and pharmaceutical companies. All sponsored content on Rescripted:
-
Is clearly and conspicuously labeled at the top of the piece with language such as "Sponsored," "Paid Partnership with [Brand]," or "Presented by [Brand]"
-
Is subject to Rescripted's factual accuracy standards — we will not publish sponsored content that makes false, misleading, or unsubstantiated health claims
-
Identifies the sponsoring brand by name
-
Where required, includes additional disclosure language specific to pharmaceutical or regulated product categories
2.3 Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Brand Partnerships
Rescripted works with pharmaceutical companies, fertility clinics, diagnostic companies, and other healthcare organizations as content sponsors and advertising partners. All pharma and healthcare brand partnerships are subject to the same disclosure requirements as other sponsored content. Our pharma and healthcare partners do not have approval rights over independent editorial content on Rescripted.
A pharmaceutical company sponsoring a content series on fertility does not mean Rescripted endorses that company's products, nor does it affect how we independently cover fertility topics elsewhere on the site.
2.4 Affiliate Marketing
Some content on rescripted.com contains affiliate links. Articles or sections containing affiliate links are labeled with a disclosure such as "This article contains affiliate links. Rescripted may earn a commission if you make a purchase through these links." Affiliate commission rates do not influence which products we recommend, how we rank them, or what we write about them.
2.5 Newsletter Sponsorships
Rescripted's email newsletters may be sponsored by brands and companies. Sponsored newsletter placements are clearly identified with language such as "Sponsored" or "From our sponsor." Newsletter sponsorships do not affect the independent editorial content appearing elsewhere in the same newsletter.
3. How We Label Commercial Content
Rescripted uses clear and consistent language to label commercial content wherever it appears:
"Sponsored" Content funded by a brand partner. Appears at the top of sponsored articles and in newsletter placements.
"Paid Partnership with [Brand]" Content created in direct collaboration with a named brand, including pharma partnerships.
"Presented by [Brand]" A content series or editorial package underwritten by a brand sponsor.
"Advertisement" or "Ad" Display advertising placements served on the site.
"Affiliate link disclosure" Inline or block disclosure on articles containing tracked affiliate links.
"From our sponsor" Sponsored placements within email newsletters.
These labels are placed at or near the beginning of the relevant content, consistent with the FTC's guidance that disclosures must be clear, conspicuous, and placed where readers will notice them before engaging with the content.
4. What Our Commercial Relationships Do Not Affect
We want to be explicit about what advertising and sponsorship revenue does not buy at Rescripted:
-
Favorable editorial coverage of a brand's products or services in non-sponsored content
-
Suppression or removal of negative or critical editorial coverage
-
Influence over our independent product reviews, recommendations, or roundups
-
Changes to our Editorial Standards or medical review process
-
Guaranteed placement of a sponsor's messaging in non-sponsored editorial content
5. Expert and Contributor Compensation
Rescripted may compensate medical experts, contributors, and creators who produce or review content for our platform. This compensation is for their expertise, time, and participation — not for endorsing specific products, brands, treatments, or viewpoints. Where a contributing expert or creator has a material financial relationship with a brand mentioned in their content, that relationship will be disclosed at the point of publication.
6. Social Media and Off-Site Disclosures
When Rescripted's social media accounts or team members post content in connection with a paid partnership or sponsored campaign, those posts will include an FTC-compliant disclosure, such as #ad, #sponsored, or #paidpartnership, placed prominently and not buried among other hashtags.
7. Data Partnerships
Rescripted may enter into partnerships with pharmaceutical companies, healthcare organizations, and research institutions that involve aggregated, de-identified audience data or insights. These data partnerships do not involve the sale of individual user data and do not affect our editorial coverage decisions. For more information, see our Privacy Policy.

Rescripted: Medical Disclaimer
Effective Date: April 13, 2026
Last Updated: April 13, 2026
The information provided on Rescripted is for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for professional medical care. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider about your health.
1. Who We Are
Rescripted (operated by Best Shot Care, Inc. d/b/a Rescripted) is a women's health media and data company. We are not a healthcare provider, medical practice, clinic, or insurance company. No content on Rescripted creates a doctor-patient relationship, a nurse-patient relationship, or any other professional healthcare relationship between Rescripted and any reader or user.
2. No Medical Advice
Nothing on Rescripted — including articles, guides, newsletters, creator content, expert commentary, product information, tool outputs, or any other content — constitutes medical advice, medical diagnosis, or a recommended course of treatment for any individual.
Reading an article on Rescripted, asking Clara a question, or following a content creator's experience does not replace a conversation with your doctor, midwife, specialist, or other licensed healthcare provider.
3. Editorial and Article Content
3.1 Purpose of Our Articles
Rescripted publishes original health articles, topic guides, and educational content to help readers understand women's health topics, ask better questions of their providers, and navigate their healthcare journey with more confidence. Our articles are intended to inform, not to prescribe.
3.2 Medical Review
Many of our articles are reviewed by credentialed healthcare providers before publication. However, medical review by our contributors does not constitute a clinical evaluation of any individual reader. Medical consensus on many women's health topics is evolving; published content may not reflect the most recent research at the time you read it.
3.3 Content Currency
Medical knowledge evolves. We make reasonable efforts to keep our content current, but we cannot guarantee that every article reflects the most recent clinical evidence or guidelines at any given time. Always verify time-sensitive health information with your healthcare provider.
3.4 Creator and Personal Experience Content
Rescripted features content from creators who share personal health experiences. This content reflects individual experience only. What was true for one person's health journey may not be true for yours. Personal experience content is not a clinical recommendation.
4. Clara AI Tool
4.1 What Clara Is
Clara is Rescripted's AI-powered search and chat tool designed to help you find women's health information. Clara uses content from Rescripted's platform and select third-party sources to generate responses.
4.2 What Clara Is Not
Clara is not a doctor, nurse, or any other type of healthcare provider. Clara cannot diagnose conditions, interpret symptoms, evaluate test results, or recommend treatments for you specifically.
Clara is an AI tool with significant limitations. Its outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, or not applicable to your individual circumstances. They are not a substitute for personalized medical advice from a licensed healthcare provider and should not be used as the basis for any health decision without first consulting a qualified professional.
4.3 Information You Share with Clara
We strongly encourage you not to share personally identifiable information, sensitive health records, or information about ongoing medical treatment through Clara. For information on how inputs to Clara are handled, see our Privacy Policy.
4.4 When Clara's Responses Concern Urgent or Serious Symptoms
If you are experiencing symptoms that concern you — regardless of what Clara says — please contact a healthcare provider promptly. Do not rely on Clara to assess the urgency or severity of your symptoms.
5. Product Mentions and Affiliate Links
5.1 No Product Endorsement
References to specific products, brands, supplements, devices, medications, or services on Rescripted do not constitute a medical endorsement or clinical recommendation by Rescripted. The mention of a product does not mean it has been evaluated for safety or efficacy by Rescripted, or that it is appropriate for your specific health condition.
5.2 Supplements and Non-Prescription Products
Many products discussed on Rescripted — including vitamins, supplements, herbal products, and wellness devices — are not regulated by the FDA in the same manner as prescription drugs. Statements about these products have not been evaluated by the FDA and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Before starting any supplement or wellness regimen — especially if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, breastfeeding, or managing a health condition — consult your healthcare provider.
5.3 Prescription Medications
Rescripted may publish educational content about prescription medications. This content is for informational purposes only. Never start, stop, or adjust a prescription medication based on content you read on Rescripted.
5.4 Affiliate Links
Some product mentions on Rescripted involve affiliate links through which we may earn a commission if you make a purchase. Affiliate relationships do not change this medical disclaimer: affiliated products are not medically endorsed by Rescripted. See our Advertising & Sponsorship Disclosure for full details.
6. Specific Populations
6.1 Pregnancy
Content related to pregnancy and prenatal care is for general educational purposes only. Every pregnancy is unique. Always follow the guidance of your OB-GYN, midwife, or other prenatal care provider. Do not make decisions about prenatal care, medications, supplements, exercise, or nutrition during pregnancy based solely on content from Rescripted.
6.2 Fertility and Trying to Conceive
Content related to fertility and assisted reproductive technology reflects general health information. Please work directly with a reproductive endocrinologist or fertility specialist for guidance specific to your situation.
6.3 Perimenopause and Menopause
Content related to perimenopause, menopause, and hormone therapy is not a substitute for evaluation by a healthcare provider. Hormone therapy involves individual risk assessments that must be made in consultation with a qualified clinician.
6.4 Mental Health
Rescripted publishes educational content related to mental health. This content is not a replacement for evaluation or treatment by a licensed mental health professional. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a licensed provider or a crisis resource immediately.
7. Medical Emergencies
If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency — including severe pain, difficulty breathing, heavy bleeding, signs of stroke, or any other acute or life-threatening symptom — call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room immediately. Do not search Rescripted or ask Clara for guidance in an emergency.
Rescripted is not a crisis service. In any situation where your life or safety may be at risk, contact emergency services first.
8. Limitation of Liability for Health-Related Decisions
Rescripted expressly disclaims all liability for any health-related decisions made in reliance on content published on our platform, including articles, Clara outputs, creator content, sponsored content, or product references. Your use of information from Rescripted is entirely at your own risk. This medical disclaimer is incorporated into and supplements our Terms of Use.
9. A Note to Our Community
We started Rescripted because we know what it feels like to search desperately for health answers and come up empty, or to read something so clinical it felt impossible to apply to your own life. We built this platform with care, with experts, and with our community's real experiences at the center.
We are on your side. That is exactly why we ask you to use what you find here as a starting point, not an ending point, for your health decisions.
